SUMMER INTERNSHIP 2003

  Susanna Kislenko
Schulich, iBBA student

Hello!

My name is Susanna Kislenko and I have just completed my third year of the International B.B.A. (i.B.B.A) degree at the Schulich School of Business in Toronto. I am currently working with an organization called World Education Services (WES). The mission of WES is to foster the integration of immigrants educated in foreign countries into academic and professional settings in North America. As such, the majority of the work is credential evaluation.

I am working on a number of projects, with the main one being the World Education Data Base (WEDB), which is an online resource that WES provides which has profiles of the educational systems of various countries around the world. Under this project, I am currently updating the profiles that are already in existence, as well as creating new profiles for some important countries that are still missing from the database. This is actually a great resource for anyone needing such information and is accessible to everyone, even though it is mostly used by educational institutions.

My other projects are related to marketing and other online promotion initiatives. This includes the re-design of the layout of the WEDB, the implementation of an online application form and the creation of new online partnerships for WES.

The office is in Toronto, where I have lived for the last 15 years, but I have just come back from my year abroad in Barcelona, Spain, so I am still adjusting to being back here.

Nonetheless, I am looking forward to my summer here and I am sure we will all have rewarding experiences in our respective organizations.

Best of luck to everyone.

un abrazo,
Susanna
