SUMMER INTERNSHIP 2003

  Stacey O'Neill
McGill University, BComm student

Hello,

I'll just take a few minutes of your time to introduce myself and what I'm doing this summer. My name is Stacey O'Neill and I'll be going into my last year of my BComm degree, with a Major in Psychology. This summer I'm working here at WUSC (World University Service of Canada) along with Patricia in Ottawa.

WUSC's mission is to foster human development and global understanding through education and training. I'm working as a Gender Relations Student Research Assistant. My main job is to research gender training materials here at WUSC and at other NGOs by extracting and compiling the best tools and practices for this purpose. I'm learning a lot about how important the role of gender equity (which leads to equality) is for international development projects, both those that specifically target women and those that don't.

Hope everyone is having a great time!

Thanks,

Stacey O'Neill
