Interns in Action SUMMER INTERNSHIP 2001             Albert Lang UBC, MBA student During the months June to August in 2001 I worked with the Tides Canada foundation. 'Tides' is a national foundation creating partnerships with donors and charities. While with the foundation I worked on two projects. The first project was under the supervision of Lesley Anderson, the operations manager at Tides. I researched best practices and devised a methodology for prospect research to increase fund generation for the foundation. The second project was coordinated by Tim Draimin, the foundation's executive director. We developed an overview of 'progressive philanthropy' that identified strategies for corporate involvement in philanthropic initiatives and used this to generate a presentation for the Vancouver business community.
