Student application deadline – CEI receives all applications
Mar/Apr
Host organizations receive a shortlist of candidates from CEI
Apr
Host organizations interview candidates & make final selection
May – Aug
Internship project takes place, CEI evaluates the project & placement
Oct
Host organizations submit final report for funders
Early/Mid Fall
Inform CEI of your interest in participating for following summer

If your organization wishes to host a CEI intern for the upcoming summer, please follow these steps:

1. Contact us to let us know that you are thinking about participating. The sooner you contact us the better!

2. Define the specifications and requirements of the project you wish to post.

3. Download the project submission form here

4. Send the completed form to Kariann Aarup by DEADLINE: TBA but typically early November

5. All non-profit organizations need to secure funding for the intern. Your organization is responsible for 50% of the total internship stipend - $900 per month for an undergraduate student, $1500 per month for an MBA student for a period of up to 3 months.

6. For-profit organizations are responsible for 100% of the student stipend plus an administrative fee. Specific details are established on a case by case basis. Please contact us for further details.

7. Project selection criteria: Projects will be selected based on the following points:

The host organization has the funding for the intern
CEI has secured the funding for the intern
The host organization agrees that the intern will be BASED IN THE OFFICE during the period of the internship ensuring a more full exposure to the organization
The project is management specific (CEI will help you with this)
The project is feasible within the set time period allotted
A point person is assigned within the organization with whom the intern will work and with whom CEI can connect over the summer
